What is unBoxed?unBoxed is an annual event hosted by Amazon Ads designed to educate advertisers on how to use Amazon Ads to create memorable connections with shoppers at key moments across their purchase journey. The in-person event features keynote announcements, access to breakout sessions, product deep dives, insights and recommendations from advertising leadership, hands-on training, exhibit hall, after-hours events, and much more. The virtual component will offer livestreamed keynotes and select on-demand breakout content, post-event. Virtual registration will launch in September.Who should attend unBoxed?Whether you are new to Amazon Ads or an experienced user, you will learn something new at unBoxed. unBoxed is a conference open to businesses of all sizes and marketers of every level of expertise interested in learning how Amazon is helping brands grow their business through creativity and innovation.Where will unBoxed take place?unBoxed will take place in person at the Jacob Javits Center North, 445 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001.What does the in-person experience include?unBoxed registration gives you access to the keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on training, demos, networking events, and unBoxed After Dark concert. Meals offered include breakfast and lunch on October 26 and October 27.Will there be reserved seating for sessions?No, there will not be reserved seating at unBoxed. This ancillary event is free, however attendees must be registered for unBoxed to attend. Overview of health measuresThe health and safety of our advertisers, partners, and employees remains our top priority. At unBoxed 2022, the following health measures will be in place. All attendees are required to comply with unBoxed event-specific requirements, including health and safety measures, in accordance with the Amazon Ads Event Code of Conduct. Signage and additional staffing will be in place to support health measures. This information will be updated in accordance with venue, and local city/state guidelines pertaining to large-scale events.VenueFor information on health and safety protocol requirements put in place by our venue, please visit our venue’s website: Jacob Javits Center North. Efforts include increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols, air filtration, and health screenings for venue staff.Face coveringsFace coverings are voluntary, and not required at unBoxed. Attendees may choose to provide their own face covering, or use a face covering provided by Amazon Ads. This information is subject to change with venue, local, and state guidelines. Refer to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for additional information about face coverings.Personal protective equipmentAmazon Ads will provide unBoxed attendees with personal protective equipment, including face coverings. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event space. DistancingEvent spaces will be designed to adhere to physical distancing as required by the CDC, along with venue, local, and state guidelines. In certain interactions where physical distancing is not possible, plastic barriers will be used.
Will you require a negative COVID-19 test to participate?No. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test is not required to participate in unBoxed.Where can I get tested for COVID-19 in New York?Local testing resources can be accessed via the City of New York’s website. Testing locations located in the Midtown area will be closest to the unBoxed venue (the Jacob Javits Center North is located at 445 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001).What happens if someone tests positive for COVID-19 at unBoxed?If a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is disclosed to Amazon Ads, contact tracing measures will be completed in partnership with health authorities. Additional information will be shared with attendees about this process, including how to inform conference organizers if you have symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or believe you were exposed within 14 days of the event.Will food and beverages still be offered?Yes. Conference meals will be offered in dedicated service areas designed to maintain distancing in accordance with CDC recommendations. Single-use service and packaging will be used. Should face coverings be required at the time of the event, attendees will be allowed to remove face coverings while consuming food and beverages in dedicated meal areas.Do I need to comply with mask and distancing policies if I’m fully vaccinated?We expect all attendees to comply with unBoxed health measures. We will evaluate new recommendations as they are released by the CDC and will update our approach if needed.Will backpacks and other bags be allowed at the event?Yes, with the exception of the unBoxed After Dark concert. All attendees will go through magnetometers, and bags are subject to search upon entry into conference activities. Refer to the following question.Can I bring a backpack or bag into the unBoxed concert?No. Backpacks or large bags will not be allowed at the unBoxed After Dark concert venue. Only one small bag or wallet per person will be allowed. The bag or wallet cannot exceed dimensions of 4.5 x 6.5 inches, with or without a handle and strap. All attendees will go through magnetometers, and bags are subject to search upon entry into conference activities.

Check back for updates.Is session registration required?Outside of training courses, onsite sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-seated basis. As seats are not guaranteed, there is no need to pre-register. However, we recommend taking advantage of the scheduling tools on the unBoxed mobile app to help organize your day. How do I register?Registration for unBoxed is now open. Please visit the Register page, and click 'Register' to start the registration process. A valid credit card is required to purchase a conference pass. You must be 21 years or older to register for unBoxed in-person.What is the cost for unBoxed?Early bird in-person full conference passes are $279 (USD), and livestream access is free. Once early-bird pricing is over, general admission ticket prices are $349 (USD).How do I sign up to participate virtually?If you can’t join us in person, registration for our livestreams and on-demand content will begin in September. Stay tuned for details.What do I get with an in-person conference pass?The in-person conference pass gives you access to the keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on training, demos, networking events, and the unBoxed After Dark concert. If Amazon Ads receives your cancellation notice between September 16, 2022, and October 17, 2022, Amazon Ads will issue you a 50% refund of your registration fees via the original payment method.
If Amazon Ads receives your cancellation notice on or after October 18, 2022, you will not be eligible for a refund. Event registrations may be transferred to another participant upon approval by Amazon Ads at its sole discretion.
